Budget Beauty Finds - Beauty Salon Nj

Let’s face it; we all know how expensive the beauty industry is. You may think to find the perfect makeup, you need to spend an arm and leg on all this name-brand junk. I’m actually here to share with you my favorite budgeted beauty finds. These can be found at Target or any other drug store for less than 10 bucks! I’m telling you, these are a steal.

1. Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Powder $5.99

Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Powder - Le Palais Hair Lounge

I had to make this number one because it’s my absolute favorite product, and it’s actually what inspired this week’s blog entirely! Trust me, I’ve fallen through the trap that in order to get the perfect look. You’ve got to get all these fancy pallets that the celebrities are wearing, but I’m telling you, this one is a diamond in the rough!! I struggle with oily skin. I always have and probably always will. I hate when my face looks shiny, which usually starts happening about 2:00 o’clock every day, that was up until I found Maybelline’s matte powder! I mostly apply this all over my face but especially on my forehead and the sides of my nose where I’m the oiliest. I’m in love with the way it makes my skin look. You truly cannot see a single pore, and it stays matte all day long!

2. Sally Hansen Miracle Gel $7.46

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel - Le Palais Hair Lounge

Ok, every girl loves a fresh gel manicure. It’s honestly one of the only things I like to spoil myself with. Unfortunately going every other week gets really, really expensive! Whenever I just don’t feel like I can budget it in that month, I whip out my Sally Hansen gel polish. It’s a simple 2 step manicure that does not require any fancy lights whatsoever. This is a duo so you are going to need their brand polish and top coat. Good news is they’re only about $8 each or $15 for a starter kit. It’s super cost-effective, they last just as long, and you can use them over and over again!!

3. Connoisseurs Precious Jewellery Cleaner $4.99

Connoisseurs Precious Jewellery Cleaner - Le Palais Hair Lounge

So I know this isn’t necessarily a beauty find, but it really is one of my favorite items I keep on my dresser at all times. Being engaged and all, I like my ring looking super sparkly all the time. Realizing that I’d be considered crazy bringing it to the jewelers to have it cleaned every other day, I was gifted with this awesome jewelry cleaner!! Right before I hop into the shower in the morning, I plop my ring into the bubbly concoction and let it soak a few minutes, take it out, scrub it a little with a tooth brush, and it’s just as shiny as the day my fiancé proposed!

4. Neutrogena Makeup Removing Towlettes $4.49

Neutrogena Makeup Removing Towlettes - Le Palais Hair Lounge

I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but I cannot stress enough the importance of removing your makeup every night before bed!!! It’s so, so bad for your skin to sleep with all that junk layered on. Your pores aren’t breathing, and it’s causing your skin to react even worse than it really is. That’s why I love keeping a pack of Neutrogena’s make up wipes not only in my bathroom’s medicine cabinet but also in my nightstand. Keeping them close by my pillow, I know that whether it was a late night out, or even if I’m already comfy and too lazy to get up, I will definitely be taking my makeup off! They’re super, soft and gentle on sensitive skin so feel free to rub your eyes until there’s nothing left on the wipe! This is a true lifesaver.

5. Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt Soaking Solutions $4.89

Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt Soaking Solutions - Le Palais Hair Lounge

I’ll be honest. I didn’t appreciate the importance of a good bath until it was too late. I know some people think they’re gross and are totally against them. But I find nothing wrong with soaking up for a little while after a long day (or week). When I discovered Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt, I loved baths even more. They come in a bunch of scents; lavender is my favorite, and each formula addressed a different need. There’s eucalyptus for relief, lavender for sleep, ginger for detoxifying, milk and honey to nourish skin, and avocado for a super moisturizer. Not only are they great for aromatherapy, it relaxes sore muscles. So if you have a job where you’re on your feet all day like me, you’re going to thank me later for this one.
